The heady mix of gender empowerment and patriotism in Chak De! India is all set to give a chin-up to the Indian diaspora in the Gulf. The movie, which has been exempted from entertainment tax by several states, appears to have caught the imagination of Indian mission heads in the Gulf. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer figured during an informal discussion at the two-day meet of the heads organised by the Ministry of Overseas Indians last week. Impressed by the theme of the movie, some of them suggested a special screening in their missions. Last heard, ministry officials were trying to arrange DVDs of the film so that these missions could have a special screening for the Indian diaspora in their regions.
