
NEW DELHI, May 1: Arjun Singh and Arjun Atwal lead the four Indians who made the cut in the Omega Tour8217;s 200,000 Macau Open, according to information received here. Vivek Bhandari and Amritinder Singh are the two who made the cut which was applied at eight over 150.
Arjun Singh carded three over 74 in the second round, and along with Atwal who had a four over 75 today had a total aggregate of three over 145 to be in the joint 12th position. In fact they were leading by a stroke over Vijay Singh Fiji and Nick Faldo Eng who were in the joint 16th with four over 146.
Bhandari and Amritinder shared the 54th spot with an eight over 150 as Bhandari went one over today, while Amritinder had a five over in the second round. The Indians who failed to make the cut include Gaurav Ghei who had a dismal eight over on the second day to finish at joint 93rd with a cumulative score of 12 over 154. Amandeep Johl was joint 100th with a 13 over 155, Jyoti Randhawa, 15 over 157, Amit Chopra 17 over 159, while KanwarSekhon and Uttam Singh Mundy retired before the second round.
Meanwhile, Chinese number one Zhang Lian-wei shared the lead with Taiwan8217;s Lu Wen-teh, even as the front-runners failed to cope with the difficult, swirling breezes and deep rough.
