NEW DELHI, September 4: Despite the defeat of Ajay Jha at the hands of Jagmohan Bisht, FCI recovered to beat CCSSCB 3-1 in the final of inter-club table tennis tournament at RBI Exchange Hall here today. Harsh Chopra won both his singles matches, at the expense of Sanjay Khurana and Jagmohan Bisht. Rajiv Ghai won the other match, beating N S Rawat.

The fourth match of the tie, between Chopra and Bisht was expected to be a close affair. But Chopra did not allow his oppoent to get the upperhand and won the match in straight ganmes to wrap up the final in favour of FCI. Bisht, who had defeated Himansh P Kala in the semifinal yesterday, looked a pale of himself in the final.

Result: FCI bt CCSSCB 3-1 (Ajay Jha lost to Jagmohan Bisht 13-21, 23-21, 12-21; Harsh Chopra bt Sanjay Khurana 21-10, 21-16; Rajiv Ghai bt N S Rawat 21-14, 21-15; Harsh Chopra bt Jagmohan Bisht 21-19, 21-16).
