To mark 25 years of publication in the region, The Indian Express will kick off year-long celebrations on Wednesday with a Defence Week.

The week starting June 19 will feature talks on national security, and reminiscences of war veterans.

On day one, former Chief of Army Staff General V.P. Malik will speak on 8216;8216;Indo-Pak Security Relations: Kargil and After8217;8217;. Punjab CM Capt Retd Amarinder Singh will preside. Defence analyst Air Commodore Retd Jasjit Singh too will be there.

On day two, former Vice-Chief of the Navy Vice-Admiral P.J. Jacob will talk about the Navy8217;s role in future operations. State Governor Lt Gen Retd J.F.R. Jacob will preside.

On day three, former Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Y.A. Tipnis will elaborate on the IAF8217;s role in future operations. The next day analysts like Delhi Policy Group Director Lt Gen Retd V.R. Raghavan, and Jammu University adviser Air Vice-Marshal Retd Kapil Kak will hold a panel.
