The promos have aroused considerable interest. We8217;re talking of the serial Tejaswini coming up on Zee which is being written, produced and directed by Ajay Kartik. It has Renuka Shahane in the title role and also stars Sudhir Pandey, Uttarna Bawkar, Anang Desai, Sanjeev Seth, Pooja Madan among some of the more reputed names of television. The serial deals with the the chauvinistic attitudes of the Indian male and highlights the efforts of the main protagonist, in a male dominated society, to emerge as a woman of substance. Says Kartik: 8220;She is a strong and determined woman yet loving and caring. She is what a complete woman should be.8221;

Shot in Kashmir
Cinevista8217;s Prem Kishen and Sunil Mehta had a dream project which is finally coming to life. The Kargil conflict was on while they shot for their prestigious project Noorjehan alongwith a 70-member unit. The serial is being directed by Imtiaz Khan in Kashmir. It stars Milind Soman, Salil Ankola, Talat Aziz, Mrinal Kulkarni, Parikshit Sahni, Mangal Dhillon only to name a few. The team, we8217;re told, witnessed artillery movement as they shot at Nishad Bag, Dal Lake, Gulmarg. Later, from Kashmir they moved on to Agra where exterior locations of Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri were captured extensively. The serial is scheduled to hit Doordarshan8217;s National Network in the near future.

Kargil With Love
Rishtey 8211; Love Stories is one of the most successful shows on Zee. It started at the Saturday 10 pm slot and later moved on to Fridays 8.30 pm and now it goes to 9.30 pm on Sundays. On Friday Zee is coming up with a new programme called Gubbare which will have episodic stories again and is supposed to be a rib-tickler. Coming back to Rishtey: Sunday, 15th August happens to be Independence Day and Zee has a special episode 8212; A Love Story 8212; with Kargil as the backdrop. It8217;s produced by Dinesh Bansal of Ghar Jamai, Basera fame and directed by Shubhankar Ghosh, while it is written by Achala Nagar. Himani Shivpur, Randeep Singh and Neha Pendse play central roles. It also has two songs composed and sung by Soma Ghosh who happens to be the director8217;s wife.

Not Wanted
This piece of news is going to make you stand up. Undoubtedly, India8217;s Most Wanted is one of the most wanted on Zee and it is an unique concept in itself. But now there is also Agnichakra which premiered two weeks back on Zee. And if rumours are to be believed Sohaib Ilyasi of India8217;s Most wanted, is making the rounds of Doordarshan as he is planning to move his show to DD. We wouldn8217;t know how true this is but it seems he is trying desperately to switch channels and give it a new name: Crime Stoppers.
