Drive against eve-teasing;eight held

CHANDIGARH, Oct 28: Continuing the drive against eve-teasing, the City police have arrested eight more persons from different parts of the City since yesterday.

A senior police official said that the drive was started after quot;a large numberquot; of complaints were received about eve-teasing outside educational institutes and in public places. The official added that the drive would continue for 10 days.

Pawan Kumar, a resident of Sector 37 was arrested from the Sector 36 market, Ashwani Kumar of S.A.S. Nagar, Phase-III was arrested from outside Government College for Girls in Sector 42 and Jaspreet Singh of Sector 35-A was arrested after he was reportedly found eve-teasing outside the DAV School in Sector 15, police sources said.
