Double whammy for DAV-8

They downed Bhavya and Alish by 15-13, 11-7, 11-9 in the doubles category. Earlier, Rhia Gupta gave a perfect start to DAV by snuffing out the challenge of Bhavya by 11-9, 9-11, 11-8, 11-4. Pareen then overpowered Alish by 11-3, 11-4, 11-9 to make it 2-0 for DAV.

The DAV boys carried on the good work done by the girls8217; team as they trounced Coaching Centre, Sector 23 8216;B8217; by 3-1. Despite losing the first match to Coaching Centre-23, DAV kept their cool and then won the next three matches in succession to make it 3-1. In the first match, Sohrab Grewal lost to Pankaj Sidana 8-11, 8-11, 10-12 in the singles category. However, Divkash Dawar won the next match for DAV by defeating Udey Pal 11-13, 11-8, 11-9, 11-6 in a hard fought match to make it 1-1. Sohrab then partnered with Divaksh and the duo rallied to beat Pankaj and Udey by 11-5, 11-7, 8-11, 14-12. Diwaksh finished the match on a high note as he outplayed Pankaj Sidana by 11-3, 11-9, 15-13.
