MUMBAI, JANUARY 28: Colgate Palmolive (India) recorded a two per cent rise in its net profit to Rs 10 crore during the third quarter ended December 31 against Rs 9.8 crore in the corresponding period last year. Sales were up by three per cent to Rs 260 crore against Rs 251.4 crore in the same period last year. Strong unit volume growth at nine per cent for the first nine months. During the nine-month period, sales had risen by 10 per cent to Rs 828.5 crore, according to unaudited results released here today. Toothpowder market share reached a new high of 49 per cent and toothbrushes registered a 3.3 per cent increase in market share, the release said.
