The list on the menu card is unending and alluring, as Coconut Groove offers a whole new range for sea food lovers

Only two people are aware of the ingredients that go and in what quantity in the making of Guntur Prawns Pop, Stuffed Squid or Crab Varakkal and this secret shows the way revealing one of the most tasty coastal food platter in town. The restaurant Coconut Groove is out with more, including fourteen new varieties of exclusive coastal delicacies, it remains most popular for.

The two people are proprieter Asha Shetty along with her chef who has been integrating ingredients to introduce authentic delicacies since the last two years. 8220;We have around fifteen new dishes introduced after a lot of test and trial. The food that is served is inspired by the smallest joints in the remote villages in south India. I have spent time in Madurai, Mangalore and visited various other places to understand their cooking habits. I would go and insist on their specialty in those little joints. Later they were worked upon to upgrade the savor. I am very fond of cooking and have been always experimenting with different ingredients which have eventually added to the flavour of the dishes,8221; adds Shetty.

The new menu is in addition to the existing one, which is equally enticing with a lot of dishes such as Bangda Green Curry Rs 120, Chicken Ghee Roast with Mangalorian Masala Rs 180, Pomfret Kundapuri Rs 210 and so on, not to forget the vegetarian varieties. The food here does not have any of the garam masalas. 8220;Whatever little masalas are used are extremely light and exclusively prepared. Coconut milk, coconut oil and tamarind are some of the important ingredients that add to the taste and are got only from Mangalore,8221; says Shetty.

Some of the exclusive introductions are Prawns Iguru Rs 225 marinated in Andhra masala, Chettinadu Fish Curry Rs 230, Stuffed Squid Rs 225 and much more. Situated close to the Pune railway station, opposite Ambedkar Bhavan, Coconut Groove with a seating capacity of around 200 people, has customers from as far as Pimpri coming to relish while Parsis stop over the most.

Shetty informs that the menu card also has Chinese dishes, kebabs, mutton along with a vegetarian course and other delicacies. But as of now, the coastal temptation rules the taste buds.
