Border 2 Movie Release Date: The Anurag Singh directorial Border 2 is all set to hit the theatres on January 23, and the makers of the film will be hoping for a strong opening. The advance booking reports, according to industry tracker Sacnilk, paint a positive picture, as the film has already sold tickets worth Rs 4.08 crore. Other media sources are claiming that the film is moving towards a more than impressive opening day, with numbers rising as high as Rs 40 crore.

Border 2 Movie Release Date

The film will begin its theatrical run on January 22, and for the most part, it’s doing so without any major competition. The box office wave of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has calmed down now, and the other war film, Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis, doesn’t seem to pose any real threat. The Agastya Nanda starrer has minted Rs 31.5 crore net during its theatrical run, and the numbers have almost come to a halt. This leaves the field clear for Border 2 to rake in some big numbers during the opening weekend.

Border 2 Movie Budget ticket price

The ticket prices for Border 2 range from Rs 350 to Rs 2100, depending upon the theatre and the type of seats that you choose. A basic seat can cost the audience member anywhere from Rs 320 to Rs 430, while the tickets for the director’s cut screenings go upwards of Rs 2000. There have been no confirmations made by the makers of the film regarding the actual budget of the film.

Border 2 Movie Advance Booking Report

The tickets are selling at a decent rate, and the film has already sold 1.27 lakh tickets. If block seats are taken into account, the film has already minted Rs 7.39 crore, a number which is bound to go up. The movie will have 10293 shows on the first day, which helps it achieve an average of 12 viewers per screen.

NCR has the biggest contribution in advance booking numbers, as tickets worth Rs 1.07 crore have been sold in the area. That number is followed by Rs 32.65 lakh in Mumbai, Rs 20.23 lakh in Gujarat, and Rs 19.22 lakh in Bengaluru.

Border 2 Movie Box Office Collection prediction for day 1

With more than a day and a half left until its release, Border 2 is expected to earn Rs 30-35 crore on its opening day. For example, Dhurandhar had Rs 14 crore gross in advance sales, and it made Rs 28 crore on its first day. If Border 2 continues its current pace, it will surpass the advance booking for Dhurandhar, hence surpassing its opening day numbers.

With a star-studded cast and the power of nostalgia behind them, the makers of the film are potentially looking at a very lucrative opening weekend. However, the reviews the film gets in the first few days will determine whether it will be able to maintain its momentum. Weak reviews will result in dwindling numbers, which will ultimately lead to losing shows.
