A disturbing video surfaced showing a man balancing beer bottles on the ledge of the nearly 282-foot-high O P Jindal Tower in Hisar, Haryana, sparking outrage on social media. The incident took place on January 18, and the man, identified as Monu, was subsequently detained by authorities.

Monu, a resident of Rajasthan, climbed up the tower and performed acrobatics without any safety gear, as onlookers recorded the scene. Monu breached security restrictions to get access to the tower, Free Press Journal reported.

The now-viral video shows Monu precariously balancing on glass bottles placed along the ledge, hanging from the structure with only his bare hands. At one point, he is seen suspending himself upside down by hooking his legs onto the tower’s outer framework.

According to witnesses, he was carrying a bag containing beer bottles and a can, which he used during the stunt.

The video quickly went viral, drawing sharp criticism from users who accused him of risking his life for social media content.

“Why is it so uncomfortable? This guy’s performing this and I’m feeling butterflies in my stomach,” a user wrote. “Some people want to live life but aren’t lucky. There are some dolts like this chap who play with human (self) life,” another user commented.

According to the Free Press Journal report, security personnel stationed at the Jindal Tower noticed the activity as Monu began climbing down, and immediately intervened. He was detained at the spot and later handed over to the Dial-112 police response team.

“He accepted that what he did was wrong and submitted a written apology, assuring us that he would not repeat such an act,” FPJ quoted tower operator Kuldeep Singh.
