CHANDIGARH, Dec 10: Coaching Centre, Sector 23 beat DAV School Club B8217;, 27-23 to set up a title clash with DAV School Club A8217; , who defeated Government High School-26, 18-12, in the men8217;s section in the Chandigarh state handball championship being played at DAV School in Sector 8.

Pawan, who scored 5 goals for CC-23, in the match against DAV School B8217; team. Harinder 3, Gayan 3 and Surinder 2 were the other goal getter for the victorious team. Rajwinder with eight goals top scored for the loser. Gurdeep 5 and Gurpreet 4 also scored for DAV School Club.

Mukesh 5, Raj Kumar 4 and Baljinder 4 combined well to guide DAV School Club A8217; to victory.

Vicky 4, Manu 3 and Bablu 3 scored for GHS-26.

In the women8217;s group, MCM DAV-36 humbled Sri Guru Gobind Singh School Club-35, 14-3, while DAV School Club-8 beat Guru nanak Public-36, 12-9.

For MCM-36, Monika 3, Karmjeet 3, Pradeep Kaur 3 and Narinder 2 were the main scorers.

Asha, who got 6 goals for DAV School Club, was the main architect of the team8217;s victory in the match today. Amandeep 3 and Upma Negi 2 also contributed to the winners score.

In the sub-junior boys section, DAV School Club B8217; beat SGGS-35, 15-12.
