CHANDIGARH, May 21: Chatvinder Singh, third seed defeated top seed Amanjot Singh in the final of the boys under-16 North Zone Adidas Junior tennis championship, which concluded at Yamunanagar today.

According to information received here, the final, which was all Chandigarh affair, Chatvinder Singh, who recently represented India in the ITF World Junior meet held at Indonesia, outplayed Amanjot Singh 6-2, 4-6, 6-1, to take home the title.

However, fourth seed Tushar Liberhan failed to lift another title for Chandigarh, when he lost to second seed Wrik Ganguly of Delhi 7-5, 7-6, 9-7, in the under-14 boys group.

The under-14 and under-16 girls titles went to Sania Mirza Andhra Pradesh and Ankita Bhambari of Delhi, respectively.
