Sensex crashes by 224 points
Indian markets on Monday reeled under sustained unloading amidst fear that Unit Trust of India would downsize its equity holdings. Sensex plunged by a whopping 224 points, or 7.23 per cent, as panic-driven market operators sent share prices and indices to new lows of the year.
