The Raja Saab worldwide box office collection day 5: Maruthi’s horror comedy The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas in the lead role, has become one of the lowest performing films of the actor since his 2022 action thriller Radhe Shyam. In the five days since its release at the domestic box office, the film has earned Rs 119.45 crore, as opposed to Rs 97.70 crore that Radha Krishna Kumar’s film did four years ago.

The Raja Saab domestic box office collection

On Tuesday (day 5) at the domestic box office, The Raja Saab earned Rs 4.85 crore, its lowest-single day collection yet. It was a sharp decline on its Monday (day 4) earnings of Rs 6.60 crore. That was a steep decline from its Sunday (day 3) collection of Rs 19.10 crore, a further dip from its Saturday (day 2) earnings of Rs 26 crore.

Its highest single-day collection at the domestic box office remains its opening day — Rs 53.75 crore across five languages. Add to that, the earnings from the Telugu preview shows on Thursday (Rs 9.15 crore), and its total collection in India now stands at Rs 119.45 crore, as per Sacnilk. Its maximum share is from the original Telugu version (Rs 87 crore), followed by the dubbed Hindi version (Rs 18 crore), the Tamil version (Rs 7.13 crore), the Kannada version (Rs 23 lakh), and the Malayalam version (Rs 10 lakh) respectively.

Competition in each market

Although The Raja Saab released on the Friday before the festival of Sakranthi and enjoyed a three-day weekend headstart, it’s now facing stiff competition from Anil Ravipudi’s Telugu action thriller Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu. The Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara-starrer released on Monday, two days before the Sakranthi festival.

The film amassed Rs 32.25 crore on its opening day, over Rs 25 crore more than what The Raja Saab did across languages on that day. It also earned Rs 19.50 crore on Tuesday, Rs 15 crore more than what Prabhas’ film scored in the same day. While the opening day figure of Chiranjeevi’s movie is around Rs 15 crore less than that of the Telugu version (Rs 47 crore) of Prabhas’ film, that’s also because the former opted for a weekday (Monday) release instead of a weekend one (Friday) like the Raja Saab.

Even in the Hindi market, The Raja Saab is facing stiff competition from Aditya Dhar’s period spy thriller Dhurandhar. The Ranveer Singh-starrer earned Rs 2.50 crore on Tuesday, its 40th day at the domestic box office. And in the Tamil market, even though H Vinoth’s action thriller Jana Nayagan, touted as Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, was postponed right before its scheduled release on January 9, Sudha Kongara’s period political action thriller Parasakthi is giving The Raja Saab a tough fight. The Sivakarthikeyan-starrer earned Rs 2.55 crore on Tuesday, its fourth day at the domestic box office.
