CHANDIGARH, Dec 6: The police today registered a case against the Bajrang Dal after some posters levelling allegations against a particular community appeared in the Bapu Dham colony of the Union Territory today on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of demolition of Babri Masjid at Ayodhya.

Police sources said no one had been named in the case nor had any arrests been made. The case has been registered against Bajrang Dal organisation as the posters were issued in the party8217;s name.

Meanwhile, Bajrang Dal8217;s local unit president Naresh Arora, when contacted, has refuted the allegations. 8220;It might have been the doing of some mischievous persons and the party has nothing to do with it,8221; he said.

The posters allegedly recalled the demolition of the Babri Masjid. The case has been registered under Section 295-A of IPC against the Dal for inciting people against a community.

Meanwhile, the local unit of Bajrang Dal organised a rally here today to mark Shaurya Divas. The activists also blocked traffic at various points while marching from Sector 19 to Manimajra. The rally began with gusto, as the activists brandished their swords, riding their two-wheelers. The procession began from Sector 19 Sadar Bazar around 11 a.m. and winded up near Vishwakarma mandir at Manimajra around 3.30 p.m. The activists raised slogans in the name of Lord Shiva. The traffic was obstructed at various traffic lights as the activists of the Dal stopped to burst firecrackers at regular intervals.
