Asia surges
SINGAPORE: Economic forecasts across Asia have surged over the past few months, with some of the region8217;s most battered economies now expected to show robust growth this year and next.
A survey of 130 economists found mighty hikes in the outlooks for South Korea and Indonesia and, to a lesser extent, Hong Kong and Malaysia, suggesting that the regional slowdown is finishing sooner rather than later. Even the indomitable Australian and Taiwan economies are seen stronger than in the previous survey done in March.
