Max Touch cuts airtime rates
MUMBAI:
Cellular service provider, Hutchison Max Telecom, has cut airtime rates by 25 on all calls extended beyond 30 seconds. The new airtime rate on its pre-paid SIM cards ace-budget is Rs 4 for the first 30 seconds and thereafter Rs 1.50 per 15 seconds as against the present rate of Rs 8 per minute for all local calls. It had removed the 15 surcharge on ace cards for STD/ISD calls making it a flat rate of Rs 10 per minute with DoT rates charged as applicable. The new rates will be effective from midnight of Dec 2, 1999, it added.

First pharma issue since 1996

Taking advantage of bull run on the pharmaceutical sector in the secondary market, Mumbai-based Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd is coming out with an initial public offering at a premium of Rs 190 per share. While promoters in the information technology have raised whopping reserves by their IPOs, Glenmark Pharm IPO would be the first in the pharmaceutical sector after 1996. quot;The stockmarket has remained bullish on IT and the pharmaceutical sector and we thought this was the right time to come with an IPO,quot; Glenmark Pharma managing director Gracious Saldanha said.

Printcom India symposium in city
