Part two consisted of a keyboard testing module, while part three included Essay Writing and General Awareness. As per the official website, the General Knowledge (GK) score will be used only by XLRI during the final selection process and will not be included in the overall percentile calculation.
Each question in XAT 2026 carried one mark, with a total of 95 questions. For every incorrect response, 0.25 marks were deducted. Candidates were allowed to skip up to eight questions without penalty; skipping more than eight questions attracted a penalty of 0.1 marks per additional skipped question. The GK section did not have negative marking and does not contribute to the overall percentile or cutoff, but will be considered during the selection stage.
