S.A.S. NAGAR, Aug 5: Former Indian Youth Congress president M. S. Bitta has expressed deep concern over the killing of 35 labourers by the insurgents from across the border in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.

While criticising the killings, Bitta urged all political parties to rise above their political considerations and form joint front against terrorism.

Recommending Army rule in Jammu and Kashmir, Bitta said that Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah had failed to contain the militancy in the Valley. “Seizure of large number of RDX and other deadly weapons from Delhi, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir indicates that terrorism is coming back to haunt the states bordering Pakistan”, he added.

Referring to Union Home Minister’s statement regarding issuance of I-cards to every Indian, he said that it was high time that the reported move be implemented.
