The Bihar BJP rebels, who have been asked to lie low till the party national executive gets over on June 2, continued their muscle flexing on Thursday. A leading member of the group, camping in Delhi, claimed the anti-Sushil Kumar Modi MLAs would quit the party en masse if their demand is not met. The rebels claim support of around 35 of total 55 party MLAs in the state. The central leadership, while conceding that Modi has allowed the JDU to grow at the BJP8217;s expense, is ready to accommodate the rebels8217; demands, except his removal. The rebels, however, contend that anything less than Modi8217;s head is not acceptable to them.
