Bhupathi bows out

The Indo-French pair of Mahesh Bhupati and Fabrice Santoro bit the dust with a 1-6, 6-7 6 loss to Paul Hanley of Australia and Kevin Ullyett of Zimbabwe on Tuesday in the quarter-finals of the Medibank International at Sydney.

However Leander Paes enjoyed better luck. Paes, partnering Martin Damm of Czech Republic, posted a convincing 2-6, 7-5, 5-10 win over Ashley Fisher of Australia and Tripp Phillips of American to move into the semi-finals.
