The semi-finals of the DSCL National Tennis championships saw two remarkable stories. The one that come to an end was Yuki Bhambri8217;s, halted by second seed Ashutosh Singh in a 6-2, 6-3 win.

In the second men8217;s semi-final, unseeded Prajnesh Gunneswaran of Tamil Nadu took out eighth seed Navdeep Singh 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. But it8217;s not just the men8217;s title he is eyeing tomorrow. His 6-3, 6-2 win over Abhijeet Tiwari means he has a chance to snap up a double8212;with top seed Vijayant Malik of Chandigarh standing in the way of the under-18 crown. Malik defeated Ronak Manuja 6-0, 6-3 today.

Top seed Isha Lakhani won the left-handers8217; semi-final today, defeating Sanaa Bhambri 6-3, 6-2. In the final, she will take on second seed Rushmi Chakravarthi, who beat Sonal Phadke 6-4, 6-1. Tanvi Shah8217;s 6-2, 6-4 win over Rashmi Teltumbde sets her up for a final with Kelsey Sundaram, who beat Aishwarya Srivastava 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
