
CHANDIGARH, Oct 6: The Chandigarh College of Architecture celebrated its annual function, Le Corbusier Day, on the campus today. National award-winning CCA alumnus Dilbir Singh Bhui, Chief Architect of UP Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Ltd, Lucknow, delivered the annual Le Corbusier Memorial Lecture.
According to college Principal I.J.S. Bakshi, it was the first time that a CCA alumnus had been invited to deliver the lecture. He spoke on Learning from Le Corbusier 8211; The Man.
Bhui also presented prizes to Ruchi Mahajan and Smriti Bhatia, students of the 94-8217;99 batch who stood first and second respectively overall in the previous ten semesters. Ashu Chaudhary 94-8217;99 batch was awarded for standing first in thesis. The Sanjeev Bhandari Scholarship was presented to Ruchi Mahajan and the Principal Prabhawalkar Memorial Award for the Best Second Year Student went to Swati Dutta for the 1998-99 session.
