Vododara, April 23: Andhra Pradesh women subdued Tamil Nadu in their last match to finish on the top of the table in the Federation Cup Volleyball Championship8217;s first leg here at the GSFC School ground on Thursday.

They won the match in straight sets of 15-10, 15-8, 15-12, gaining six points, to become the first team to qualify for the final round of the Cup to be held in Chalkudi from April 27 to May 4.

Tamil Nadu with five points finished behind them to become the second team to qualify for the finals.

On Wednesday night, the Andhra women treated Gujarat with even more disdain wrapping up the hopelessly lop-sided match 15-2, 15-2, 15-3 in just 34 minutes.
