PATIALA, May 9: Fine unbeaten century by Amanpreet 124 not out enabled Chauhan Club to beat Star XI by 146-run in the first Hot Weather league cricket tournament being played here at the M.E.S. ground.

Batting first Chauhan Club opening bastmen Bhupinder and Rajanpreet gave a solid start to the team. The duo scored 72 runs for first wicket partnership in just six overs.

Later, Amanpreet scored a hurricane 124 runs which included five sixes and 14 boundaries.

In reply, Star XI began on a disappointing note, loosing five wickets for just 27 runs. Vikas Dhiman 39 not out was the main batsman to score for the team.

Amanpreet of Chuhan Club was declared man of the match.
