CPM general secretary Prakash Karat may have felt 8220;liberated8221; after his party withdrew support to the UPA Government, but his party8217;s women8217;s wing, the All India Democratic Women8217;s Association, perhaps doesn8217;t share the feeling. The AIDWA, which held a summit of Muslim women, wanted to meet the Prime Minister to submit a memorandum seeking a sub-plan for Muslim women after the function. But despite repeated efforts, the AIDWA leaders did not get an audience with the PM that day. 8220;The PM would have sat through the whole function if this was three months back. How things change,8221; an AIDWA leader was heard saying.
