KOTKAPURA , May 6: In the second such incident in Punjab during the past one week, a 14-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised at pistol-point by an Additional Station House Officer of the city police station here on Monday night.

The victim, who sustained anal injuries, is undergoing treatment at a private clinic here. The medical examination of the victim and the accused, conducted separately, have confirmed the humiliating act.

The accused officer Sulakhan Singh was booked in a criminal case under Sections 367, 373 and 506 of the IPC along with his cousin Sikandar Singh, and both arrested.

The incident took place on May 4 around 10 P.M. when the boy, a truck cleaner, was waiting for off-loading wheat from the vehicle outside the local FCI godown. He was allegedly accosted by Sulakhan Singh and Sikander Singh while the truck driver was away for dinner.

8220;Both of them made advances towards me. When I did not oblige Sulakhan Singh told Sikander to bring a pistol. Thereafter, at pistol point I was forced to sit between the two on a scooter,8221; alleges the boy.

He was taken to a deserted place near the railway lines where, behind a huge transformer, he was allegedly sodomised by Sulakhan Singh. 8220;All the while Sikander kept the pistol pointed at me and warned me against making a noise,8221; the boy alleged. He said the two threatened him with death if he disclosed the incident to anybody.

However, the boy narrated the incident next morning to members of the truck union who informed the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Paramjit Singh Sandhu. The latter immediately ordered an inquiry by SHO Mukhtiar Singh, who indicted Sulakhan Singh for sodomy and Sikander Singh for helping him.

Pal Singh, father of the victim, told ENS that his son was still in a state of shock.

Sulakhan Singh, a state-level football player was selected in the police force under the special sports quota drive. His cousin Sikander Singh was also a state level basketball player.
