CHANDIGARH, April 28: Sunil Kalia, the third alleged middleman in the UT Engineering Dept kickbacks case, was remanded to judicial custody till April 30 after he surrendered before the court of UT Judicial Magistrate (Ist Class) Jasbir Singh, here today. The magistrate, while remanding him, also issued notice to the prosecution for the same date. He, along with two other alleged middlemen, Suresh Kumar and Dinesh Sharma, were booked by the Vigilance Dept under the Prevention of Corruption Act after their residences were raided by the Income Tax authorities in Nov 1997.
