Inside Udaipur wedding of billionaires Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju

Bride-to-be Netra Mantena is the daughter of US-based pharma billionaire Rama Raju Mantena, while groom-to-be Vamsi Gadiraju is the co-founder and CTO of Superorder. The wedding celebrations, being held in venues such as the Leela Palace and the Island Palace on Lake Pichola, include a haldi and mehendi ceremony, followed by a sangeet night where celebrities showed off their killer moves and lit up the show.

Haldi

The haldi ceremony took place on Saturday morning at the Taj Lake Palace. A poolside event, the haldi venue was decorated by The A-Cube Project using floral arrangements in vibrant shades of the rainbow, along with citrus trees adding natural shade to the area.

The bride and groom donned blush pink pastel ensembles, Mantena choosing a lehenga choli set while Gadiraju looked dapper in a bandhgala with a huge yellow elephant brooch. The guests adhered to the yellow dress code, showing up in saris, lehengas, co-ord sets and kurtas to sing and dance all afternoon.

Mehendi

The mehendi was held on Saturday night, with public figures like Madhuri Dixit, Donald Trump Jr, Nora Fatehi, and Dia Mirza in attendance. Mirza hosted the event, while Dixit danced to her iconic song Dola Re Dola from Devdas in a green lehenga and pink dupatta set. Her performance also featured songs like “Dholida” from Gangubai Kathiawadi and “Rangilo Maaro Dholna”. Nora Fatehi also captivated the audience with her electrifying moves in a golden top, black skirt and matching pair of boots.

Contemporary circus company Cirque du Soleil also mesmerised the audience. In fact, Dixit performed to AR Rahman’s “Jai Ho” during the event, with Cirque du Soleil artists joining her on stage.

Sangeet

The sangeet was held on Friday night at Manak Chowk, City Palace, and star performers like Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Janhvi Kapoor broke a leg together, adding to the merrymaking. Famous political figure Donald Trump Jr was also present in the audience.

The venue was turned into a scene straight out of a royal palace, with antique chairs surrounding elaborate tablescapes adorned with warm white lamps and red shades, along with floral arrangements around glassware adding a vintage feel to the event. The wedding will be held tonight, November 23rd, with Bieber and Lopez expected to perform for the couple and their guests at the reception in the evening.
