Lust Stories 2 trailer: Vijay Varma is smitten with Tamannaah, Neena Gupta suggests a ‘test drive’ for granddaughter before wedding. Watch

Neena Gupta, on the other hand (disappointingly) plays a grandmother in Lust Stories 2. She wants her granddaughter, played by Mrunal Thakur, to experience a sexual relationship with her fiancee before tying the knot. Her decision leaves other family members in disgust but she believes a ‘test drive’ helps in making the right choice.

The other short film stars Kajol and Kumud Mishra, with the latter having a roving eye, especially when it comes to help at home. Kajol plays his wife and supposedly plans a way to teach him a lesson. The last one with Amruta Subhash and Tillotamma Shome seems to talk about the class divide and exploring sexuality among women.

Speaking on the second edition of Lust Stories, R Balki shares that lust is natural and most important in a relationship. “It’s critical for all to recognise it. I wanted to create a lust story that a family can watch together. Why should a story of lust always make for exciting solo viewing and be uncomfortable for family viewing when families are created by love and lust?” he adds.

Konkona Sen Sharma, on her part, adds, “There is something exhilarating about a woman getting her rightly deserved freedom and taking control of her life and this is exactly what I wanted to showcase in my anthology for Lust Stories 2. Lust for me, like many, is a forbidden topic and I wanted to break away from the norm which was only possible because of my wonderful co-writer Pooja Tolani. I couldn’t have asked for a better cast than Amruta and Tillotama, who worked so in sync with each other!”

Sujoy Ghosh said that this time the films are all about the different shades of ‘lust’. Talking about his leads, he adds that Tamannah and Vijay brought the film to life just as he had imagined it, and he hopes audiences enjoy seeing their chemistry on screen.

Lust Stories 2 will drop on Netflix on June 29.
