Rashmika Mandanna opens up about wedding plans with Vijay Deverakonda: ‘When it is to be spoken about…’

Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda got engaged in a private ceremony in Hyderabad in October. As per several media reports, the couple is set to get married in February. However, Vijay and Rashmika have stayed mum on the subject so far. Recently, when Rashmika was asked about it directly in an interview, she chose not to give a definitive answer.

During a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Rashmika addressed all the buzz around her wedding with Vijay Devarakonda. She said, “I wouldn’t like to confirm or deny the marriage. When it is to be spoken about, we shall.” Rashmika also said that she never discusses her work with fiancé Vijay Deverakonda. “As much as we are actors, for me at least, I want to cut off from work when I go back home. I don’t discuss work at home, at least 80 percent of the time. If something is bothering me about the business, of course, I go and ask for advice or help, but at home, I just want to cut off. I feel you can’t 24/7 be at work because talking about it is still work. I am someone who will give my 100 percent, but when I am home, I am home,” Rashmika said.

She further added, “As actors, work doesn’t always leave us; we still have approvals, and 200 things to do otherwise. But I know that with my mom, dad, or anyone in the family, I don’t talk about work; I take my personal life extremely seriously.”

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have been rumored to be dating since 2018, when they worked in Geetha Govindam. In 2019, the couple went on to star in Dear Comrade. The actors are often spotted together at events, while in 2024, they hinted at being in a relationship, but both Rashmika and Vijay refrained from naming their respective partners.

On the work front, Rashmika has four films in the pipeline. During the interview, the actress confirmed that she had shot for Mysaa. She also said that she has Cocktail 2 and two untitled projects in the lineup. As for Vijay, after Kingdom, he has two untitled films, VD14 and VD15. Rahul Sankrityan directs VD14, while Ravi Kiran Kola will helm VD15.
