Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to Instagram and shut down reports that said she'd borrowed Rs 25 crore from a superstar for her myositis treatment. She urged people to be responsible when commenting about medical illnesses. Samantha revealed in 2022 that she is suffering from immunity disorder known as myositis. She has since taken a step back from work to focus on treatment. However, Samantha sounded disturbed by the reports of her taking financial help from a Telugu superstar. So, she wrote on Instagram, "25 crores to treat myositis!? Someone got you a pretty bad deal. I am glad I am only spending the smallest fraction of that. And, I don't think I was paid in marbles for all the work I've done in my career. So, I can easily take care of myself. Thank you." She further wrote, "Myositis is a condition thousands suffer from. Let's please be responsible with the information we put out regarding the treatment." Samantha was recently seen in Shaakuntalam, and in Yashoda before that. The actor has also wrapped shooting for the Indian leg of Citadel, with filmmakers Raj and DK. After spending some time at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, she left for a vacation in Bali and has been giving fans a great deal of insight into her holiday. She will next be seen in Kushi, which will hit theatres on September 1. Kushi, directed by Siva Nirvana, brings together Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda for the first time. The film has been shot against the backdrop of Kashmir and shows Vijay and Samantha as a married couple.
