Hi Nanna teaser: Nani’s film showcases heartwarming father-daughter bond; Mrunal Thakur adds pinch of romance

Telugu actor Nani released the heartwarming teaser of his upcoming film, Hi Nanna on Sunday. He also announced that the film will be released on December 7 instead of December 21. The teaser shows Nani as a single father and his bonding with his daughter Mahi, played by child artist Kiara K, and how he finds love in Mrunal Thakur’s character.

The film, which is directed by Shouryuv, marks Mrunal’s second outing in the Telugu industry after Sita Ramam. Hi Nanna’s teaser shows Mahi calling her father her best friend. They share a sweet bond where Nani never raises his voice on her. However, things seem to change after the entry of Mrunal’s character Yashna into the father-daughter’s life. While it seems Yashna is Kiara’s new friend, the teaser suggests that she shares a past with Nani’s character.

As the teaser release, netizens were quick to appreciate the onscreen chemistry between Nani and Mrunal, who are working together for the first time.

A viewer wrote, “What a beautiful soulful teaser. Nani is fabulous as always and Mrunal is a great find of talent. Just can’t wait to watch this”. Another added, “Beautiful teaser… Nani and mrunal pair.. Father and daughter and beautiful visuals… Superb waiting for this movie.” A fan also wrote, “Hi Nanna movie teaser is beautiful in one word. Nani and Mrunal’s chemistry and Hesham’s music is superb. Blockbuster waiting.”

Hi Nanna marks Nani’s 30th film. It also stars veteran actor Jayaram. The film’s music has already been released and the songs have received a positive response. Hi Nanna is produced by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala. Hesham Abdul Wahab is the music director for the film.

The movie will release in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada on December 7.
