Hukum: Second single from Rajinikanth’s Jailer is an ode to superstar’s swag
Jailer song Hukum: After the sensational Kaavaalaa, Anirudh Ravichander has come up with a racy song for Rajinikanth's next.

Kaavaalaa has become a viral song for its catchy lyrics and Tamannaah Bhatia’s brilliant dance moves. The song has garnered 44 million views on YouTube in a matter of ten days. Now, Anirudh Ravichander, the composer of the film, is back with the second song from the film. Titled Hukum Tiger Ka Hukum, the song is all about the swag of Rajinikanth.
Written by Super Subu, Hukum is all about Rajinikanth’s evergreen swag that stays relevant for generations. Anirudh has also lent his voice to the song.
Lines like ‘Ungappan whistle ah ketavan (The one who received your dad’s hoots and whistles)’ and Thalaimura Kadakura hit-aanavan (someone who is a hit across generations) are on point about Rajinikanth. However, the highlight of the song is the dialogue of Rajinikanth that’s played at the beginning. It’s a warning from Rajinikanth’s character who sounds arrogant and bold. “Hey, I am the king here and the rules are set by me. I keep changing them as I wish. Follow them with no qualms. If you plan to create a ruckus, I will chop you into pieces and shuffle you up. Hukum… Tiger Ka Hukum.”
Here’s the song from Rajinikanth’s Jailer, Hukum:
It is rumoured that Jailer is about a jail warden, who has to save a film crew shooting inside the prison from the inmates. The story is slightly similar to director Nelson Dilipkumar’s last film Beast, which was set inside a mall. However, the makers have been tight-lipped about the plot.
Other than Rajinikanth and Tamannaah, the film also has some of the biggest names in the Indian film industry. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Kannada superstar Shivraj Kumar are also part of the star cast. Sunil, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley are also part of the film.
Jailer will release in theatres on August 10.
