Raja Natwarlal Raja Natwarlal

Several new songs from upcoming releases were launched across social media platforms last week. Ziddi Dil, a fast paced anthem from the film Mary Kom, was among the latest tracks revealed online. An energetic celebratory number, Ziddi Dil has been rendered with enthusiasm by Vishal Dadlani, who packs a punch in the song with his vocals. The music is simple and mostly electronic, but grows on you with repeated hear. Lyrics by Prashant Ingole are inspirational. Keeping in mind the plot of the film, the anthem will certainly fit well in the narrative.
The second song from the Emraan Hashmi – Humaima Malick starrer Raja Natvarlal is a contemporary Sufi number. Kabhi ruhaani kabhi rumaani, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja is very different from the usual Sufiana numbers that you get to hear. The off-beat rhythm sounds fresh. It’s interesting to hear a mélange of guitar, violin and percussion in the form of qawali beats. Instead of opting for singers who are known for Sufi renditions, Raja has chosen Benny Dayal for this number and we must say, it’s a good choice. Dayal’s voice texture blends well with the lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil and the beautiful, romantic composition.
The first song from Vikram Bhatt’s Creature 3D, Saawan aaya hain, featuring Bipasha Basu and newbie Imran Abbas was also revealed. A soft romantic number, that celebrates monsoon as the season of love, is very well sung by Arijit Singh. The melody is typical, very similar to the tunes composed way back in the ‘90s and the overall composition by Tony Kakkar is nothing extraordinary, but Singh’s rendition makes the song hummable.
