In the lead-up to this season’s inauguration, one significant name doing the rounds as a potential contestant is none other than actor Raqesh Bapat. Known for his performances in movies like Tum Bin, Vrundavan, and Savita Damodar Paranjape (2018), as well as soap operas like Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar, Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak, and Qubool Hai (2014), Raqesh had also participated in the Karan Johar-hosted Bigg Boss OTT Hindi Season 1, where he emerged as the third runner-up. He was previously married to renowned actor and his Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak co-star Riddhi Dogra, known for her roles in movies like Jawan and Tiger 3.

Actor-producer Deepali Bhosale Sayed, noted for her appearance in movies like Mhanje Waghache Panje and Bola Alakh Niranjan, 36 Guni Jodi star Aayush Sanjeev, television actor and Bigg Boss 15 alumnus Vishal Kotian, and actor-model Sonali Raut, an alumna of the Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss Season 8, are also rumoured to be part of the sixth edition of Bigg Boss Marathi. At the same time, the names of social media content creators Karan Sonawane, Ashok Patil, and Radha Mumbaikar, rapper Sambata, advocate Gunratna Sadavarte, and controversial YouTuber Hindustani Bhau are also circulating in the virtual world, with many speculating that they are likely to enter the house this time.

Amid high anticipation, the official launch of Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 will take place on Sunday night, with the premiere episode set to begin airing at 8 pm. Fans can catch it live on both Colors Marathi and Jio Hotstar. It may be mentioned here that Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5, which ran from July to October 2024, saw social media influencer Suraj Chavhan emerge as the grand champion, with singer-television personality Abhijeet Sawant as the first runner-up. That was also the year when Riteish Deshmukh took over hosting duties from veteran actor Mahesh Manjrekar, who headlined the show’s first four editions.
