Rahman’s contribution to Indian music industry has been unparalleled. His working style has invited mixed reactions from fellow singers in the industry. Recently singer Alka Yagnik shared her first experience of working with him for the movie Taal.

Alka justified Rahman’s habit of working late night and odd hours and said during an interview with O2 India, “After that I knew that whenever I was called by AR Rahman, I would have to work during the night, but I really enjoyed it after that. I realised why he wants to work when it’s night and it’s quiet and you are disconnected with everyone else.”
