Falimy trailer: Basil Joseph’s next is a mishmash of genres

The title ‘Falimy’, which is supposed to be ‘Family’, is pretty self-explanatory in that the film is about a dysfunctional family. Basil Joseph is back with another interesting premise where a family that doesn’t get along well with each other embark on a journey to a pretty bleak place, Kashi.

A grandfather reminiscing his old days, a mother and father who have some unresolved issues, an elder brother with a temper issue, and the younger one who is lost in this crowd… the foursome are forced to travel together to a place, where death is celebrated. The premise of Nitish Sahadev’s Falimy is promising. The director has also written the film.

On top of all the drama that ensues between the family on their way to Kashi, Basil’s character is also trying to chase his love interest. The trailer promises a mismash of comedy, drama and a road movie in one.

Falimy alo stars Jagadish, Manju Pillai, Sandeep Pradeep, and Meenaraj. As far as the technical crew goes, it has Bablu Aju as the DOP, Nidhin Raj Arol as the editor, and Vishnu Vijay composing the songs and background score.

Falimy will be released on November 17.

On the work front, Basil Joseph also has Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil and Varshangalkku Shesham in the pipeline.
