From Jalwa,Bombay,Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha to the more recent,David,Remo Fernandes has entertained as a musician and now he wants to impress with his histrionics. Fernandes will soon debut as an actor in Bollywood.

“When I was younger,I never wanted to be a film hero like some singers. But I think a role coming my way at this point of time would be much more interesting, with more depth and layers. I think now I’m bitten by the acting bug,” says Fernandes. He has been roped in to play an important role in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet.

He will be seen essaying a role, which is quite similar to his real persona. “I feel the role is tailor-made for me. The character I am playing is someone who speaks Portuguese fluently, and who has good knowledge of music,” he says.

So are there any preparations that he has to make,as far as physique and looks are concerned? “I think

the hardest preparation will be to cut off my pony tail,” he says.

Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma,Bombay Velvet is a period film set in the ’50s and early ’70s. It’s about how the lead duo’s lives get intermingled with

the evolution of the city.
