UGC NET 2016: The test will be conducted in 83 subjects at 88 selected NET examination cities spread across the country
On behalf of UGC (Universities Grant Commission), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be holding the National Eligibility Test (NET) on July 10. The online application form is already out and the last date to apply online is 12 May, 2016 and the fee can be paid up to 13th May, 2016.
The test will be conducted in 83 subjects at 88 selected NET examination cities spread across the country.

Exam scheme
The test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions
Paper-I: This will be of 100 marks and the candidates need to attempt 50 out of 60. Time duration: 1¼ hours (09.30 am to 10.45 am)
Paper-II: This will be of 100 marks and the candidates need to attempt all 50 questions. Time duration: 1¼ hours (11.15 am to 12.30 pm)
Paper-III: This will be of 150 marks and the candidates need to attempt all 75 questions. Time duration: 2½ hours (2 pm to 4.30 pm)
