Farah Khan announces her comeback, says will do a film with Shah Rukh Khan: ‘End of this year I’ll start’
Farah Khan clarified that she has no plans to leave YouTube, but she is definitely hoping to start working on her next project with Shah Rukh Khan.
Farah Khan recently confirmed that she is planning to return to directing.
The iconic duo of Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan has delivered several blockbusters, including Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year. Beyond commercial success, these films have cemented their place in the socio-cultural fabric of the country. With such a devoted fan base, audiences have long awaited the duo’s reunion, and it seems that wish is finally coming true. Farah recently revealed her plans to return to direction, emphasizing that she will do so only with Shah Rukh.
While interacting with Nakuul Mehta on her YouTube channel, Farah discussed the popular social media hashtag ‘Farah Wapas Aao,’ where film-goers have been urging her to make a comeback. She said, “I think it’s time. I think end of this year I’ll start.” In the same breath, she added, “If I do it, I will do with Shah Rukh. Otherwise, I will keep doing YouTube.”
When asked if she plans to step away from YouTube to make time for her film, she humorously remarked, “I don’t want to leave YouTube, as I have to pay my children’s fees. It’s very expensive to have kids, as you all know.” For those unaware, Farah’s children, Divya and Czar, are heading to the United States to pursue higher education in fields ranging from economics to data science and artificial intelligence.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film King, an actioner directed by Siddharth Anand. The title and first look of the film were unveiled on SRK’s 60th birthday, and the release date is expected to be announced in the coming days. The star-studded cast includes Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Raghav Juyal, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Varma, and Rani Mukerji.
