Sanjeev Kumar appointed Managing Director, MSEDCL

Sanjeev Kumar, an IAS officer of 1993 batch, took over as Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co Ltd on December 21. Prior to this, Kumar served as Joint Secretary & Mission Director for housing-for-all in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation. He has also served as Director in the Ministry of Power, has been in-charge of Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojna and Restructured Accelerated Power Development & Reform Programme.

He has served in various ministries and state departments like sales tax, water supply & sanitation and industries. He has also served as Joint CEO of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation and Managing Director of the Maharashtra Agro Industries Development Corporation.
