Narang tops World Cup selection trials
Gagan Narang emerged the star performer in the selection trials held for the World Cup at the Balewadi shooting range on Monday. Narang topped the 50m rifle prone trials with a score of 596 + 103 and bagged first place easily.

Gagan Narang emerged the star performer in the selection trials held for the World Cup at the Balewadi shooting range on Monday. Narang topped the 50m rifle prone trials with a score of 596 + 103 and bagged first place easily.
Joydeep Karmakar managed to shoot a score of 696.7 to end up second. Surendra shot 690.3 and grabbed third place. In the 10m air rifle for women,Radhika Barale topped the category with 497.7 points. Mampi Das came in a close second with a score of 497.2 and Suma Shirur came in third with a score of 497,a press note said.
In the mens 25m rapid fire pistol,Gurpreet Singh came first with a score of 782.8,Vijay Kumar came in second with 782.1 and Pemba Tamang came third with 777.8 points.
In the men’s 50m pistol,Om Prakash came first with 654.7 points,Vivek Singh was second with 648.5 points and Omkar Singh came in third 647.9 points,said the note.

50m rifle prone men: Gagan Narang (699.3),Joydeep Karmakar (696.7),Surendra (690.3).
10m air rifle women: Radhika Barale (497.7),Mampi Das (497.2),Suma Shirur (497).
25m rapid fire pistol men: Gurpreet Singh (782.8),Vijay Kumar (782.1),Pemba Tamang (777.8).
50m pistol men: Om Prakash (654.7),Vivek Singh (648.5),Omkar Singh (647.9)
50m rifle prone women: Kuheli Gangulee (589),Lajja Gauswami (588) Tejaswini Sawant (586).
