Entries open for annual fest
DAV Centre for Creative Education will be organising KHOJ – the 10th Annual National Science Festival at DAV Public School,New Panvel on October 1 and 2. The participants will have to develop and present their projects on solar system,sunspots,space shuttle,international space station,star systems. The festival will also include events like elocution competition,science talk shows,essay writing,and several other on-the spot -creative activities. The registration for participation in KHOJ is invited from all schools (Std III to Std XII) and colleges.
BBA,BCA courses launched
Amplify Mindware has launched the National Institute of Business Management and Computer Application (NIBMCA) under the UoP offering Graduate Degree Programmes – BBA,BCA and B.Com courses from academic year 2009 -10 onwards. Amplifys E learning & Learning media initiative is called Truly Learn and will be distributed across Asia in various domains including Project Management (aligned to PMBOK design),Generic Management from the application field of Commerce & Business Administration,ERP,range of interactive learning solutions for Mobile application,Embedded Systems,Software design application (IDEs) etc.
Due to the substantial growth in agriculture and horticulture section,and the future scope in agribusiness the Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (now WE school) has introduced six months Diploma in Agriculture Business Management,to produce skilled human resource for Industry. Industry professionals have designed this programme. The faculty members include experts from the industry and academics. The program runs on Saturdays and Sundays to suit to the needs of students graduating in the final year or professionals working in the industry.
Winners all the way
Four students from the AISSMS College of Engineering have topped the Electronics Engineering,Electrical Engineering,Mechanical (Sandwich) Engineering and Production (Sandwich) Engineering branches,in the examination conducted by University of Pune in May 2009. The results were declared on Monday,17 August. Last year,three students topped the merit list. Anjali topped the BE- Electronics Engineering list securing 81.86% (1228/1500 marks). Prasad Venikar topped the BE- Electrical Engineering list securing 80.66 per cent. Pranav Patil topped the BE- Mechanical (Sandwich) Engineering list securing 81.61 per cent. Ravi Kapoor topped the BE- Production (Sandwich) Engineering list securing 79.75 per cent.
Convocation ceremony
The Indian Institute of Planning and Management has organised the Annual Convocation ceremony for the class of 2008 in the presence of Dr Satyapal Singh,Commissioner of Police and M Nitin R. Desai Managing Director – Desai Brothers Limited for the class of 2008 on August 27 from 10 am to 1 pm.
