An 18-year-old student was found carrying a country-made pistol and live cartridges inside a well-known school in Northwest Delhi on Monday, police said on Tuesday.
Police said they reached the school after a PCR call was received, and the school authorities handed over the student along with the firearm and ammunition allegedly recovered from his possession.
“During inspection, the Estate Officer of the school observed that the student was attempting to conceal an object in the toilet on the second floor. On being noticed, he moved out of the toilet and later on was nabbed by the Estate Officer near the stage… The student disclosed that due to personal enmity with another student, he was carrying the weapon,” DCP Rohini, Rajeev Ranjan, said.
