27 school buses challaned in Panchkula

The Regional Transport Authorities challaned included 27 private school buses and four three-wheelers for violating various norms in Panchkula.

Panchkula Assistant Regional Transport Officer Surinder Kumar said that the challans were issued during checking in Barwala,Raipurani and Morni.

They were found violating various norms, he said. The drive is likely to continue in the days ahead as authorities have initiated various measures to ensure that the rules are not floated while plying the school buses.

In wake of recent fatal road accident in Ambala in which 13 schoolchildren were killed,the Haryana government has directed the officials to ensure compliance of rules for plying of school buses.
