Dhurandhar box office collection worldwide day 47: Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller sees no rise despite special offer of tickets priced at Rs 149 in India
Dhurandhar worldwide box office collection day 47: Aditya Dhar's period spy thriller, starring Ranveer Singh, maintains its lowest single-day earnings yet at Rs 1.50 crore, still Rs 1.23 crore more than Vir Das' Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos even on its seventh Tuesday.
Dhurandhar box office collection day 47: Ranveer Singh's film earns Rs 882.50 crore in India.
Dhurandhar box office worldwide total collection: Aditya Dhar’s period spy thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, has slowed down at the domestic box office in its seventh week, but it continues to maintain its lowest single-day earnings yet at Rs 1.50 crore. As per Jio Studios, the total box office collection of Dhurandhar in India after 47 days is Rs 882.50 crore. While it’s already the highest grossing Indian film ever domestically, the slow progress makes its road to the unprecedented Rs 900 crore club longer, if not impossible. To its credit, the Ranveer-starrer is minting much higher than even the new Hindi release from this past Friday.
The only Indian film to earn in double digits every day all the way into its fourth week, it’s still hitting more than a crore every day even three weeks after that.
Dhurandhar domestic box office
On Tuesday (day 47) at the domestic box office, Dhurandhar earned Rs 1.50 crore, the same as what it did on Monday (day 46). A minor spike in the earnings on Tuesday was expected given the producer, Jio Studios, had announced a special offer for only one day — of tickets being priced at Rs 149. However, that may have increased footfalls, but hasn’t really translated into more earnings.
The earnings on its seventh Monday and Tuesday registered a 60% dip from its seventh Sunday (day 45) and seventh Saturday (day 44) collections of Rs 3.75 crore and Rs 3 crore respectively. The Saturday earnings witnessed a 71% rise from its seventh Friday (day 43) collection of Rs 1.75 crore, as per Sacnilk.
Prior to that, Dhurandhar earned Rs 26.35 crore in week 6, Rs 51.25 crore in week 5, Rs 106.50 crore in week 4, Rs 172 crore in week 3, Rs 253.25 crore in week 2, and Rs 207.25 crore in its opening week. It’s been that rare film in the history of Indian cinema which amassed more in its sophomore week than its inaugural week at the domestic box office.
Dhurandhar’s competition
Vir Das and Kavi Shastri’s action comedy Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos could manage to earn only Rs 27 lakh on its first Tuesday, Rs 1.23 crore less than what Dhurandhar earned on its seventh Tuesday. But it’s only two more days before the latter faces its most fierce competition yet in Anurag Singh’s period war drama Border 2, the sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 seminal blockbuster Border, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh among others. Like Dhurandhar, Border 2 is also an ensemble film steeped in war-crying patriotism.
Dhurandhar worldwide box office
At the global box office, Dhurandhar has amassed around Rs 1338.50 crore so far. This makes it the fourth highest grossing Indian film ever worldwide, followed by Sukumar and Allu Arjun’s 2024 Telugu action thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 1742.10 crore), SS Rajamouli and Prabhas’ 2017 Telugu action fantasy epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1788.06 crore), and Nitesh Tiwari and Aamir Khan’s 2016 Bollywood family sports drama Dangal (Rs 2070.30 crore).
