Do you crave for a bowlful of lip-numbing laal maas or a scrumptious dose of pathar ke kebab during the wee hours of the night? If so,head to The Spice Market for a gastronomic fare past midnight. Unlike the 24×7 coffee shops at five star hotels that can pack in sandwiches and mugs of espresso for you,at The Spice Market, owner Sumit Gulati rolls out a three-course midnight spread.
The buffet begins with kebabs and curries and graduates to a variety of biryani and desserts. The party scene has picked up greatly in Saket. The malls with private theatres are mushrooming in the neighbourhood and movie-goers are opting for late dinners. We get a lot of customers after midnight, says Gulati.
While on weekdays, the restaurant allows entry till midnight,on Fridays and Saturdays, the timing has been extended by 45 minutes. Between 10pm and 12.45am,guests can drop in for our midnight buffet. People cannot always head to a five-star coffee shop, and standalone restaurants usually shut by midnight, he adds.
A tad expensive, the buffet is priced at Rs 499 (inclusive of taxes) per person.
