Man rapes 17-yr-old,threatens to post obscene pictures online,held

She alleged that Khan raped her on the pretext of marriage. “After a few months,Khan started to blackmail the victim. He told her that he had clicked some obscene photos without her knowledge and would post them on social networking sites. In return,he asked her to pay him every month,” a police officer said.

In her complaint,the girl said over a period of three months,she gave him Rs 2 lakh. She said Khan kept demanding more money,but she had run out of cash.

She then approached her parents and told them about the problem. Based on the victim’s complaint,a case under Sections 376 (rape) 384 (extortion) and 34 of the IPC and POCSO was registered against Khan.

Following the complaint,a medical examination of the girl was conducted,which confirmed rape. A team was then constituted and Khan was arrested.

Police have also seized their phones to see the contents of the messages that were exchanged between the two,police said.

Meanwhile,a 54-year-old staff member at AIIMS molested a 25- year-old security guard in South Delhi on Sunday evening,police said. The accused identified as Diwan Chand was arrested after the victim filed a complaint against him.

In a complaint given to the police the woman said that she was on duty when Chand called her to a corner on the pretext of showing her something. Chand then allegedly took off his clothes and tried to grope her. The woman raised an alarm and called other staff members. She then made a PCR call,and the accused was arrested.
